Reimagined themed area Themics was flown in to produce, and install themed elements for a redeveloped themed area of Walibi Rhône-Alpes. The park, which is operated by Compagnie des Alpes, has completely reinvented itself within the last decade. It has invested a lot in themed areas, new attractions, and F&B facilities. The 2024 summer season marks the opening of the reimagined themed area "Exotic Island" which is set around the theme of the Pacific Islands. The area radiates the feeling like being in a tropical paradise, whilst also having mysterious details. This is brought to life by colorful, and nature-like bamboo constructions, themed decor, and other thematic elements which Themics provided.
Mahuka
The themed area Exotic Island covers eight attractions, one show, and three F&B outlets. Its key attraction is roller coaster Mahuka which is the 2nd single rail coaster of Intamin in the world. In its themed surroundings, Themics realized thematic elements at the main entrance, queue line, station building, boutique shop, and F&B kiosk.
Custom themed lighting
The Mahuka themed area was in 2026 expanded with a playground which was lit up by 24 custom themed fixtures. These were over a dozen distinct coloured integrated lights varying both in appearance, and in size.
